BILLING, SHIRLEY
Shirley was born in 1935 in Porthcawl and now lives with her husband in Pembrokshire. She is an international yachting journalist and has lived in Australia, the USA, Taiwan, Singapore and Shanghai. Her father and her own family have always had boats. An RYA qualified yachtmaster, Shirley and her husband Peter have been sailing around the world for fifteen years in their 35’ Endurence Ketch Cylpeus. In 2005 Shirley obtained an MA in Creative Writing from Trinity College Carmarthen and her book Seize the Day (Bosun Publications, 2005), tells the story of her travels over seven years on the seven seas.
