Heather DyerHeather Dyer is the award-winning author of a picture book and three novels for children aged 6-11. Her books have received generous reviews in Publishers Weekly, The School Library Journal, and in national newspapers. The Girl with the Broken Wing (The Chicken House / Scholastic, 2005) was one of Richard and Judy's 'Best Children's Books Ever' in 2007, and The Boy in the Biscuit Tin (The Chicken House / Scholastic, 2007) was nominated for the Galaxy Best British Children's Book Award in 2008.

Heather grew up in North Wales and is now based in Aberystwyth. She is a Royal Literary Fund fellow at Aberystwyth University where she teaches acdemic writing and creative writing. She speaks about her work at universities, schools and conferences, and is currently working on series of articles about the psychology of creativity.
