Alice’s first publication – Air Pressure – gained the Aitken Alexander scholarship on Birkbeck University’s Creative Writing MA from which she graduated, with distinction, in 2023. An extract of her thesis was then asked to feature on the audio zine OFFAL (ep.5), and a following short story – Image: Angel – saw her words published in print.
Following this, The Paper commissioned Alice for their Terror edition in 2025, and Alice was asked to read this short story, and others, at events held by Birkbeck University, SXSW Fringe, and Stack magazine.
In 2025, she also worked as the Interviewer and Script editor on an Arts documentary supported by the NHS and Rainbow Trust.
Alice has interviewed multiple Authors for online publication and these interviews, plus other work, can be viewed on her Authory page.
As well as writing fiction and non-fiction, she writes and performs poetry themed around the body; living with disability, mental health, and PTSD.
Alice is a dyslexic with dyspraxia who has luckily lived well with multiple sclerosis for over two decades; very luckily survived breast cancer in 2017.
Alice holds another MA in Cultural and Critical Studies, a BA(Hons) in Broadcast Journalism, and is an ambassador for Maggie’s Cancer Support speaking on platforms like Sky News and the BBC. In a younger body, she fundraised by marathon running and mountain climbing for The MS Society, and competed in beauty pageantry!
She is currently working on her first novel set in the Noughties.
