Julie is the founder and former CEO of My Sisters’ House, a nationally recognised women’s centre that continues to thrive under the trauma‑informed foundations she established. Her leadership in women’s services earned her the Woman of the Year Award (2020) for outstanding contribution to community wellbeing. An established author of two books, the first a non-fiction ‘From Kitchen Table to Women’s Centre‘ and now she is currently completing her debut romance novel The Mountain Hare, a romance between Baz & Maya . Baz is living PTSD. Julie has has brought a lifetime of supporting people into the pages . Julie also created Maya’s Letter Club and the Feather & Ink stationery small business selling her favourite journals & pens. She holds an MA in Creative Writing for Wellbeing and is a highly qualified therapeutic and trauma‑focused writing practitioner (ISAC).
