Nigel Humphreys—an experienced and accomplished writer with an honours degree in English and a long-standing member of the Welsh Academy (now Literature Wales). As a founder of The Word Distillery Poets, Nigel has spent over two decades workshopping with other writers at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, nurturing creativity and craft.
With five poetry collections published and a sixth due to be published shortly, along with a collection of short stories—one of which was featured in Best British Short Stories 2019. He’s now branched out into playwriting for the BBC.
Now retired, he dedicates his time to mentoring writers, providing guidance, support, and inspiration to others through his Creative Writing courses at Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
