Imogen Martin is based in Cardiff and is a best-selling author of historical fiction set in 19th century USA. Her debut novel Under A Gilded Sky was shortlisted for the Joan Hessayon Award for new writers and reached the Amazon top 100 Best Seller charts. To The Wild Horizon was a finalist in the Chanticleer International Book Awards Laramie Prize 2025 and a May 2024 book choice for the US First For Women magazine. Further works have been published by Storm.
During 2020 Imogen was selected by Kate Nash Literary Agency as one of their BookCamp mentees, a mentorship programme designed to accelerate the careers of promising new writers.
Imogen loves meeting readers and writers. She is experienced in speaking in public, particularly enjoying speaking to groups of enthusiastic readers. She is knowledgeable about using research to inspire and bring books to life, drafting and editing novels, and the fast-moving digital publishing industry. She has been interviewed on radio numerous occasions.
