Josie Smith lives in West Wales, close to Cardigan Bay, where she loves to walk in all seasons. Her poetry has been included in several anthologies and broadcast on BBC Wales. Josie holds an MA in creative and scriptwriting from the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David, Lampeter. Her first book, Diary of a Shielding Yogini, was published in 2021 by Cowry Publishing, Aberaeron. It is a positive chronicle of her experience during the Covid pandemic, from the perspective of an ordinary family living in West Wales.
Tamboura is Josie’s second book, published January 31st 2023. It is about the music of life, a story of transformation and the search for meaning in our modern world. The central themes are sacred sound, meditation and motherhood. Josie is a meditation teacher, a mother, a traveller, and a business woman. She has always championed a healthy diet and lifestyle with her shop, the Mulberry Bush, one of the first wholefood vegetarian shops in Wales. Josie is passionate about the magic of words and music, and the beauty of nature.
